New year, new goals. For many people that means eating "healthy". Sadly, for the average American "healthy" is probably snacking on a 100 calorie pack of processed ingredients. If you want to look and perform your best, it's simple! Put good things in your body, get good things out. Whole foods are what our bodies crave to keep up with our busy lives. Healthy Skoop is a brand I'm hoping we see a lot more of soon. I can't find anything wrong with it!! Their products have no gluten, soy, dairy, whey, gmo's, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or artificial colors. This is literally as natural as it gets.
I was sent their A-Game powdered greens and their B-Strong protein powder. Both are plant-based, so here are my thoughts:
A-Game:
I've always heard it is good to start your day with fruits & vegetables. If you think about it, that's something no kid wants to do because it isn't very tasty or satisfying. A single scoop of this has 10 servings of fruits & vegetables (YES. TEN.) and tastes fabulous mixed with a little almond milk. The flavor is hard to describe, but no.. It tastes nothing like vegetables. If anything, it's sweet and fruity. The color is a dark green, so I wouldn't reccommend drinking this in public (haha). The package said with water it would be an 'acquired taste' (so I expected the worst), but honestly I enjoy the flavor A LOT. I tried blending this with a fruit smoothie as well and it turned out incredibly smooth. I have zero complaints! Just to give you an idea of what this does for you... It provides a ton of natural energy, helped me with being tired, lessened my stress, and helped with digestive health.
B-Strong:
This protein powder is plant-based, which made me nervous because all in the past I've tried have been incredibly chalky. Much to my suprise, it wasn't. It's just as smooth (if not smoother) than the A-Game. The protein comes from brown rice and pea proteins, but has a strong vanilla flavor. I'm not one to normally drink my protein powder (I'll cook with it or make smoothies usually), but I enjoyed drinking these straight. I also thought they were perfectly fine with water- no need for milk! B-Strong is packed with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, but is very convinient for traveling. It comes in individual packages to easily throw in your bag with a blender bottle for on-the-go. (This was great for me at school- especially in my new blender bottle, hey hey!!) Another positive is the protein doesn't upset my stomach like some others can. I was starving before I drank this and not only did it keep me full, but it was also satisfying.
I highly, highly, HIGHLY reccommend you read up on this brand. I would absolutely love to start seeing this sold around where I live. You can visit <www.healthyskoop.com> to see what all they have to offer and the benefits a single 'Skoop' can do for your body. I am incredibly sad these are gone because the flavor was actually something I have come to crave. Their blender bottles are also very cute (I reccomend those as well. Very reasonably priced!!). Here's to a new year everyone, and I hope it brings you a healthier and stronger body each day!
