Thin slim foods is a brand I've recently discovered that makes "thinner" or "slimmer" versions of our favorite foods! From bagels to cookies it's all there! You can check out everything they make on their website <www.thinslimfoods.com> because they really have a bunch of great things to try! If you're hesitant to order, here are my thoughts on some of their products.
Bread:
The bread I tried was their original which is high in protein and carbs, but low in calories and carbs. There are minimal ingredients which is always good! The taste of this bread is very tasty, but the texture is a bit different. I like that is thicker and has a bite to it (not like those flimsy 40-calorie-a-slice breads) but it is also chewier from the whey. I found if you take a minute to toast the bread it's perfect! Just like what you're most likely used to but with much better macronutients. Definetly would love to try some other flavors.
Vanilla cookie:
Texture and flavor is great. It's a big, huge, soft cookie. The flavor is how I think of a "vanilla cupcake" because the vanilla flavor is very strong. it's also super soft so it's like a cakey-cookie more than a crispy one. The sugar alcohols used in this are bigger crystals which make it just like a sugar cookie. It's great!
Chocolate dipped cookie:
I've always been a fan of soft cookies, so this was delicious. It's basically just the vanilla cookie with a thick chocolate layer. Great great great flavors going on here. I'm not exactly sure how the macros work out though. It's hard to belive something so good only has 45 calories with 22g fiber! (But also confusing because it says it has 35 carbs, 6 protein, and 1g fat. If you add up those macros it's more than 45 calories!) oh well, I won't question it. Just enjoy it while it lasts!!
Vanilla muffin:
Very cake-like!! The vanilla flavor is almost exact to the vanilla cookie, but texture is much different. This is extremely light and fluffy, just how a cake should be! Even though there is no real sugar, it is extremely sweet. It's also much bigger than it looked inside the package. Plenty to satisfy with only 2g of net carbs and 6g of protein, absolutely delish!
Almond square:
Seeing as there was this version in almond and a chocolate one as a brownie, I figured this was going to somewhat be like a blondie. The taste is of almonds.. But like almond extract. Not like a peanut butter square (or in this case almond butter). The texture once again was very soft and cakey. I toasted mine just a bit until warm and it just melted in my mouth.
Brownie square:
Texture on the brownie is almost identical to the almond square and very similar to that of the cookies & muffin as well. They are all very soft and cake-like. Most brownies seem fudgy and thicker instead of this being like a cake brownie. Personally, I prefer the softer texture. It had a very deep chocolate flavor so for only 45 calories I'm not sure how you could complain.
