As far as ingredients and beliefs of a company go, I love Beanitos. Their customer service is also great!! Very kind people. They sent me a few reusable bags (I ALWAYS use these when I go to the grocery store) which was a great surprise!! Beanitos makes a few different kinds of chip/snack type foods all using beans. They are gluten free, vegan, baked, low fat, and as far as chips go high protein. They were kind enough to send me 4 different types of their products to review.. So here you go!
Chili lime puffs: if you are a volume eater, I highly highly reccomend their puffs. I usually had half a serving at a time because it was already becoming a huge pile haha. Taste wise, these were full of flavor. They were on the spicy side (heavy on the chili) with a little hint of lime in the after taste. They reminded me of cheese puffs I used to eat as a kid- just much better ingredients and a much more flavor. I loved these!
White cheddar puffs: texture of these reminds me exactly of something called puff corn I used to eat as a kid. I think these smell more like white cheddar than they taste though. Flavor is very good, but it's mild. Not as strong as expected, but good.
White bean tortilla chips: these were divinneeeeee. Holy cow. If you know me, you know I have a never ending love for Mexican food. I love nachos as a meal or chips & salsa as a snack so these were very quick to go! They taste no different than a regular tortilla chip. Actually, I prefer these. They remind me of when you go to a Mexican restaurant and they bring out a fresh batch of hot chips. They're crispy and flaky, but not too heavy. If I had a complaint, I'd be that they were a little oily (left little grease splotches on my napkin!) but the macros are really very good and contain minimal ingredients. Get yourself a bag of these PRONTO!
Black bean tortilla rounds: I've always been a fan of the blue corn tortilla chips, and these look almost identical! The white bean looked like a normal chip but i was skeptical about the black bean looking like a black chip. The taste is just like the white beans except the texture is a little bit crunchy/crispier.
Overall, I am over-the-top pleased with these. Luckily, I have found them in nearby whole foods and publix. I reccomend checking your local stores because they may carry them! But if not, you can order online from <www.beanitos.com> if any of you have tried any of their products, let me know what you thought!!
